The Art in the Schools Program is designed to help schools give their students access to real, beautiful artwork- I know that I would have loved to have access to beautiful paintings when I was young, and I believe it would have helped my development as an artist tremendously!

As of now (July 2010) this is just getting started but the idea is that for every 10 people who sign up for the Art Rental Program, I will paint a reproduction of a painting by a noteworthy artist- someone no longer covered by copyright issues, of course- I was thinking Monet, O'Keefe, Sargent, people like that. Eventually I would like to use the Art Rental Program to fund the purchase of original works by living artists to put in the schools, but that isn't in the budget just yet :) The the painting would be donated to a public school, with the stipulation that students have access to it.
